The vision and dedication of the company derives from its two founders, Gareth Reakes and John Merrells.
John Merrells - CEO
John Merrells is Co-Founder and our US based CEO. John has been a software engineer, manager and consultant for Microsoft, Lucent, Netscape, AOL and Sun Microsystems. He is a technical innovator with an abiding interest in business applications. He founded the Berkeley DB XML project at Sleepycat Software and at Netscape made significant contributions to the Netscape Directory Server. John has a particular interest in the development of innovation and the successful formation of entrepreneurial companies.

Graham Innocent - VP Products
Graham Innocent is our VP of Products, having conceived and championed the company's drive into mobile applications. He leads the product team in both the UK and US. His work around mobile applications pioneered such innovations as mobile vehicle dispatch, mobile data collection and mobile ticketing. Graham holds a master's degree in computation from Oxford University and a bachelor’s of science in engineering from De Montfort University. Graham takes a strong interest in the the commercial, creative, and technical aspects of product conception and delivery.

The Team
Behind Embrace Mobile's success lies a team of very able people. Most of them are graduates of Oxford and Cambridge, and many have a postgraduate degree. What also makes them special is that some of them have an academic or professional background beyond computing in fields such as neuroscience, astro-physics and medicine. So we have a team of multi-disciplined creativity. More than that the team is working with mature processes that we have carefully honed and developed. This ensures both low risk in the development of our software and also an agility in our approach to a client's requirements. It is because of our processes and approach that we believe we are more flexible and innovative than our competitors.
The Board
Gareth Reakes - Director
Gareth Reakes is co-founder and board member. He is currently CEO of Media Graft, a technology driven startup company prroviding advertising supported downloaded music.
He was formerly Head of Product Development at DecisionSoft where he managed product design and development and shared responsibility for for winning new business and managing existing clients.
Among his technical achievements include the development of high performance XML parsers and processors for the UK government's online tax submission system. Gareth sits on the global project committee for XML products for Apache, and is one of the core developers, with commit-access to the Apache XML Parser. He is also a regular speaker at XML conferences both in the US and EU and is technical reviewer for several leading XML publications.
